DALLAS — Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was the hot topic at the Blues vs. Stars Stanley Cup playoff game Monday night.

During Game 3 of the second-round series, a young Dallas Stars fan was hit by the puck during the game.

Elliott, a St. Louis native and former John Burroughs high school student, immediately went over to the boy to snap a few selfies and to cheer him up.

Despite the Stars losing to the Blues 4-3 with less than two minutes left, let’s just say this is probably a night the boy will never forget...

The Dallas Cowboys and NHL on NBC posted several photos of Elliott’s caring gesture and thousands of fans are eating it up.

And Elliott seemed to be having the time of his life.
