A line of strong to severe thunderstorms pushed through the metro St. Louis area Saturday evening producing widespread hail.
Quite a bit of pea sized hail was reported but hail up to quarter size and even some egg size hail across much of the metro area.

No word on how much damage the hail caused, though it is not expected to be nearly as costly as some previous storms here.
St. Louis hold the record for the top two costliest hailstorms in the United States. The April 10th storm in 2001 caused over two billion dollars in damage and the 2012 April 28th storm resulted in 1.6 Billion dollars in insured losses.
