JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missourians trying to get a new license will have to wait a couple more weeks to take the test.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced it would be extending the suspension of all written and skills-based driver tests through April 27 as it monitors the coronavirus pandemic.
The changes include operator licenses, commercial driver licenses and motorcycle testing.
MSHP is also extending the suspension of all salvage inspections and all bus inspections through April 27. This doesn't affect local businesses that are providers of safety and emission inspections for the public, according to a press release.
On Thursday, Missouri surpassed 3,500 confirmed cases of COVID-19 including 80 deaths.
Missouri Gov. Mike Parson issued a stay-at-home order through April 24.
