New dashboard helps Missourians find long-term care facilities based on needs, bed availability

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is making it easier to find long-term care options near you.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — A new online resource is helping Missourians locate long-term care facilities with bed and service availability.

Through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program dashboard allows families and health care workers find bed availability in different parts of the state based on specific needs, such as behavioral health, COVID-19 isolation and memory care, as well as services available, such as dialysis, IV medication, ventilator support and more.

“This resource will assist individuals looking for long-term care placement options specific to their needs in their desired area of the state,” Missouri Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program Director Jenny Hollandsworth said in a statement. “The more long-term care facilities that participate, the better the dashboard will be for everyone who uses it.”

As of Wednesday, 135 long-term care facilities across the state were included in the dashboard.
