ST. LOUIS — St. Louis police are investigating after a 15-year-old boy was shot and wounded south of downtown St. Louis Wednesday afternoon.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said they were alerted to a shooting when the 15-year-old boy arrived at an area hospital with gunshot wounds.
The victim said he was sitting in a car with a few other people near the intersection of 13th Street and Lasalle Lane at around 4 p.m. when he felt a pain in his right side. When he looked down, he noticed he was shot.
The two other people inside the car then drove him to the hospital. Police said he had stable vital signs while receiving treatment at the hospital.
