2 found shot to death inside south St. Louis home identified

Officers responded to a ‘call for police’ in the 2600 block of Dalton Avenue around 1:30 p.m. and found a man and a woman dead inside.

ST. LOUIS – Detectives are investigating after two people were found shot to death in a home in south St. Louis Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to a ‘call for police’ in the 2600 block of Dalton Avenue around 1:30 p.m. and found a man and a woman dead inside. Police said both people had gunshot wounds.

About a week later, police identified the victims as 56-year-old Robert Tucker and 31-year-old Jill Jones. Tucker's address was listed at the 2600 block of Dalton, while Jones was from the 4100 block of Beethoven, a few miles away.

Police said the medical examiner and the homicide division responded to the scene.

No other information has been made available. As of Thursday afternoon, police have not identified the victims.
