Man, woman killed in north St. Louis shooting Saturday

Detectives with SLMPD's Homicide Division are investigating the fatal shooting.

ST. LOUIS — A man and a woman were killed in an early Saturday morning shooting in north St. Louis, according to a brief report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

Police officers with SLMPD's Sixth District were sent to the scene of the shooting. They arrived around 2:45 a.m.

The shooting happened in the 5500 block of Goodfellow Boulevard, the portion of Goodfellow between Emma and Lena avenues. That places the shooting in the city's Walnut Park West neighborhood.

Detectives with SLMPD's Homicide Division are investigating the fatal shooting.

The brief report from police was an alert shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, by SLMPD's Real Time Crime Center, which means the information about the shooting is preliminary and subject to change as the ongoing investigation continues.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged home from the emergency department after being shot.
