ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating after two people were injured after being struck by a stolen truck.

Officials said two pedestrians were struck in the 700 block of Chestnut Street Saturday afternoon.

After striking the victims, the driver hit a light pole. Two suspects were then taken into custody.

Both victims were conscious and breathing at the scene. They were taken to an area hospital.

One of the victims was Mike Arnold, who is known around the area as Gus Gus the Fun Bus.

According to a post on Facebook, Arnold's mom said her son witnessed someone stealing a truck, and the thieves ran him down and ran over him on purpose. She said her son has broken ribs, a broken shoulder, a broken elbow, and more. He was listed in critical condition.

Main and Mill Brewing Company in Festus is already organizing a fundraiser to help. They said 15 percent of all sales on Wednesday will benefit Mike Arnold and his family.

The investigation is ongoing.
