3 shot in St. Louis early Sunday

ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis shooting sent three people to a hospital early Sunday morning, according to a brief report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

The shooting happened before 2:30 a.m., near N 9th and Tyler Streets, according to a social media post from SLMPD's handle on X, formerly known as Twitter. That puts the shooting in St. Louis's Near North Riverfront neighborhood.

One of the victims was taken to a hospital in an ambulance, but the other two were taken by car.

Police did not share the medical conditions of the victims.

Police did not share any information about a potential suspect, motive, or what happened prior to the shooting.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people heal after they have been injured by a bullet. The BRIC was established to help people who are discharged home from the emergency department after being shot.
