MACOUPIN COUNTY, Ill — A Missouri man was among four people killed in a small plane crash in Macoupin County Sunday afternoon.
A spokesperson with the Macoupin County Sheriff's Office said the plane crashed at around 4 p.m. just south of Carlinville, Illinois.
Four people who were in the plane were pronounced dead at the scene at 4:27 p.m.
The Macoupin County Coroner's Office identified them Monday as pilot Joshua Daniel Sweers, 35, of Michigan; Daniel A. Shedd, 37, of Missouri; Daniel Schlosser, 39, of Michigan and John S. Camilleri, 39, of New York.
No information as to why the plane crashed was given.
The Macoupin County Sheriff's Department and the Federal Aviation Administration will be conducting an investigation.
