"It's a joy to be honored with so many movers and shakers in St. Louis," Palmer said. "To have connected with so many of these women for stories on Channel 5 and to be sitting in the same room with them Saturday made me emotional. There are so many change-makers in our city. I'm so glad when this city called, I answered."

The ceremony also honored two living legends, including Denise Thimes, best known as a vocalist. Thimes has performed with the late Clark Kelly, Dr. Billy Taylor, Earl May, and many others. Marie Parson was also honored as a 2024 living legend. Parson is best known for her dedication to cosmetology, and entrepreneur skills as the owner of Parson's Beauty Salon.
