LINN COUNTY, Mo. — A 54-year-old Missouri man pleaded guilty Monday in St. Louis to sexually exploiting a 10-year-old girl, a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office Eastern District of Missouri said.
In a U.S. District Court, Russell Alan Pirkey admitted to recording himself having sexual contact with the girl using a cellphone.
"Pirkey’s crime was discovered on April 8, 2023, when the Brookfield Police Department was contacted with concerns about his contact with the victim," the statement said.
Pirkey surrendered multiple electronic devices to investigators.
"The FBI, the Brookfield Police Department and the Linn County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case," the statement said.
The charge Pirkey faces will result in a 15-30 year prison sentence. His sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 14, 2025.
