On my perfect day in St. Louis, I'm sleeping in past my usual 1:30 a.m. wake-up call. I love the weekends in St. Louis because it's my time to explore everything the city has to offer.
My day always begins with a cup of coffee and some snuggles with my dog Diesel. He's a 10-year-old black lab mix that we rescued from a gas station when he was just 4-weeks-old.
After a few cups of coffee, it's time for Diesel's walk. We take him to the neighborhood park that has a ton of green space fro Diesel to run and use up all his energy.
Then it's onto the tennis courts where I take on my husband Lucas in a few games on tennis. We're not exactly professionals, but we have a lot of fun being competitive with each other.
Women's tennis coach at Webster University, Martha Davis-Goldstein, gave 'Today in St. Louis' viewers the top three things they can do to be able to play tennis.
1. Keep your feet moving and light
2. Make sure you're seeing the ball. Keep your eyes on the ball at all times.
3. Stay relaxed and focus on breathing. You'll play better.
Now that we've gotten in all of our exercises, it's time for some yummy pizza. Pizza is one of my favorite foods and I always have to find my neighborhood spot wherever I live. For St. Louis, Dewey's Pizza is where you'll find me at least once a week. The staff there know my order by heart which is both amazing and embarrassing.
My perfect St. Louis day ends with a ride on my husband's motorcycle. We love the freedom it gives us.
