VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- A Virginia Beach charity is a step closer to getting another donation from CNN's Anderson Cooper.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- A Virginia Beach charity is a step closer to getting another donation from CNN's Anderson Cooper.

You saw it here on ABC 13 on Tuesday night. Cooper was on Jeopardy! competing for Spike's K9 Fund. That's the group dedicated to buying bulletproof vests for local police dogs.

Tuesday's episode is part of the Jeopardy! Power Players week, which features mostly journalists.

Cooper went up against Lara Logan of '60 Minutes' and Michael Steele, a political analyst at MSNBC.

It was tight the entire show, but ultimately Logan walked away with the $50,000 prize.

Cooper and Steele both were awarded a $10,000 consolation prize for their respective charities.

But that's not all! Despite not winning, Cooper tells the charity he will donate an additional $40,000 of his own money to Spike's K9 Fund!
