Arnold man dies in motorcycle crash near Villa Ridge

The motorcyclist was allegedly inattentive and crashed into the back of a pickup truck that was slowing down, according to MSHP.

VILLA RIDGE, Mo. — An Arnold man died Saturday afternoon following a motorcycle crash at Highway 100 and West Villa Drive near Villa Ridge in Franklin County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 12:52 p.m., 43-year-old Erik J. Radman of Arnold was riding a 2005 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 west on the highway and allegedly was inattentive and crashed into the rear of a westbound 2020 Ford F150, whose driver was slowing for a vehicle ahead that was turning right onto West Villa Drive, the report said.

No injuries were reported for pickup driver.

Radman, who wasn't wearing a helmet, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where he was pronounced dead at 10:15 p.m., according to the report.
