ST. LOUIS — Art Holliday celebrated a milestone anniversary with 5 On Your Side. The anchor and news director has worked at KSDK for 45 years.
When Holliday started his career at "Channel 5," Jimmy Carter was president.
Holliday came to the station in 1979 as a sportscaster. He has worn many hats through the years. He worked in the sports department for 10 years. He anchored "Today in St. Louis" for 22 years and worked as a reporter. Holliday was promoted to news director in 2021.
Jennifer Blome, his former co-anchor on TISL, made a surprise appearance at KSDK Tuesday for Holliday's anniversary.
Holliday's past and present coworkers shared stories about his laugh, his integrity and his legacy in St. Louis.
Holliday has won countless Emmy Awards. In 2022, he was inducted into the Missouri Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame and he received the President’s Award from the Mid-America Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
He is a native of St. Charles and earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
