Balloon release for Jaz Granderson's 29th birthday

ST. LOUIS – Former De Smet assistant football coach would have been 29-years-old this week.

Jaz Granderson’s life was cut short when he was shot and killed during a carjacking in south St. Louis in 2017.

His mom, family and friends are having a balloon release on Thursday, June 13 at DeSoto Park Soccer Fields starting at 5:30 p.m.

Granderson was a standout athlete at Kirkwood High School, he went on to play football for the University of Northern Iowa and then transferred to Lindenwood University.

Granderson joined the De Smet football coaching staff in 2016.
