JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. — First responders declared a pedestrian dead at the scene of a Tuesday night Jefferson County crash.
The pedestrian was 22-year-old Christopher Kelch from Barnhart, Missouri, according to an online crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday, a 2006 Nissan Altima was traveling south on US Route 61-67 near Cedar Drive.
Kelch was in the roadway, the report said.
Emergency response crews with the Rock Community Fire Protection District were sent to the scene, but they couldn't save the victim's life.
The Nissan Altima had to be towed from the scene of the crash after sustaining moderate damage, the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crash report.
