STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. — A body pulled from the Mississippi River downstream from St. Louis earlier this month has been identified, according to the Ste. Genevieve County Sheriff's Office.
The body of the man recovered from the river on May 1 was identified as 23-year-old Darris Moore, deputies said. Moore's cause of death is unknown, but investigators don't believe foul play was involved.
Moore, who deputies said is from the St. Louis area, was identified by a family member Monday, the sheriff's office said.
