ST. LOUIS — Irish airline Aer Lingus on Monday said it would start a nonstop flight next year from Dublin to Indianapolis, the second time in the past month that St. Louis has been bypassed for a Dublin route on the carrier.

The Business Journal this month reported that St. Louis officials have sought a nonstop Dublin flight on Aer Lingus, though it wasn't clear what stage any bid was in. St. Louis Lambert International Airport officials have declined to comment on their interest.
