CHESTERFIELD, Mo. — A 3,000-patron music venue is planned for The Staenberg Group's redevelopment of the Chesterfield Outlets.
Keystone Construction Co. filed a permit with St. Louis County in mid-November to begin site work on the venue, called The Music Factory. That permit is still under review, according to county records. Cost of the venue was not disclosed and was not included in the permit.
The Music Factory will be a state-of-the-art indoor music venue that will hold 3,000 concertgoers. It's expected to open in spring 2021, said Tim Lowe, vice president of leasing and development for The Staenberg Group.
The Pageant in the Delmar Loop holds a little more than 2,000 people.
The Music Factory is part of TSG's redevelopment of the Chesterfield Outlets, at Interstate 64 and North Outer 40 Road, into a shopping, dining and entertainment destination called The District. Main Event, which offers bowling, billiards, laser tag, karaoke and more, is slated to be the anchor tenant. Construction of Main Event is expected to start next year and open alongside The Music Factory.
