ST CHARLES, Mo. — A fast-food restaurant that suddenly shuttered looks to quickly be replaced by a drive-thru coffee concept’s latest location.

A franchisee of Arkansas-based chain 7 Brew Coffee is waiting for final approval from the St. Charles City Council to demolish a former fast-food restaurant building and construct a new coffee shop at 1698 Country Club Plaza Drive. The approval could come in the next week.

The site, at the northeast corner of First Capitol Drive and Friedens Road, previously was occupied by a Fazoli’s restaurant, which closed with no advance notice to customers within the last week. The property is owned by WT Legacy LLC, whose registered agent is Sara Stock, according to county and state records.

The site is adjacent to the Country Club Place shopping center, which is owned by an entity registered to the address of Brentwood-based commercial real estate firm Pace Properties.
