ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A new kind of Costco is open in the St. Louis area.
A Costco Business Center location at the intersection of St. Charles Rock Road and Interstate 170, inside the I-170 Business Center office park in St. John, opened Tuesday.
Costco Business Centers are different from a typical Costco, as they cater to small businesses and stock more food and office supplies in bulk, according to the retailer’s website. Business centers carry some distinct products, and more than 70% of items are different than those found at a typical Costco.
Issaquah, Washington-based Costco Wholesale Corp. (NASDAQ: COST) operates 25 business centers nationwide in cities including Chicago; Denver; Dallas; Hackensack, New Jersey; and San Diego. The company has rehabbed former big-box stores as Costco Business Centers.
