ST. LOUIS — A quickly growing cookie chain plans to open its first St. Louis-area store this summer. But the company’s plans don’t stop there, as additional stores are already in development, with at least seven shops set to open in the region.
Dirty Dough Cookies will open its first brick-and-mortar location in Ballwin, set to be followed with a location in Chesterfield. St. Louisans might already be familiar with the brand, however, as the local franchisee since July has been operating a Dirty Dough food truck throughout the region, serving up stuffed cookies at various local spots.
Crumbl Cookies in 2022 sued two rival cookie companies, Dirty Dough and Crave Cookies, for “confusingly similar” logos, websites and other marketing materials. Crumbl and Dirty Dough agreed to a settlement in October.
St. Louis native John Hamrick signed on last April to open seven Dirty Dough stores across St. Louis and St. Charles counties.
