ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A discount retailer that opened its first store in the St. Louis region earlier this year plans to expand in St. Louis County.
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has signed a lease for 29,564 square feet in the Watson Plaza strip mall along Watson Road in Crestwood. The signing ranks as one of the largest retail leasing deals in the region for the third quarter, second only to the new Dick’s Sporting Goods Warehouse Sale location in Fairview Heights, according to research from commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield.
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet sells closeout merchandise and excess inventory including housewares, food and sporting goods, according to its website. The national retailer has 510 locations after adding about 60 stores in the last year, including its entry to the St. Louis market at a Granite City shopping center, Nameoki Commons. The chain opened its second area location, in Ellisville, in August.
