GLEN CARBON, Ill — A fast-growing coffee chain that has expressed interest in opening its first St. Louis-area location in the village of Glen Carbon has yet to sign an agreement with the developer of the project where it would be located.

Although Grants Pass, Oregon-based Dutch Bros Coffee (NYSE: BROS) has been seeking government approvals to open one of its drive-thru-only coffee shops at The Staenberg Group’s Orchard Town Center development in Glen Carbon, the deal is not finalized, said Tim Lowe, vice president of leasing and development at TSG.

“We talk to a lot of tenants about opportunities, and some of the tenants that we talked to that are interested in pursuing opportunities might reach out to the village or the municipality to get information about a site and what's allowed or not allowed, but until we have a signed agreement with somebody we don’t comment on them, and we don’t have a signed agreement with Dutch Bros,” Lowe said.
