ST. LOUIS — An expansion of an existing airport hotel with a new brand is expected to finish construction by the end of this year.

The new 128-room, six-story Hampton Inn at 10300 Natural Bridge Road in Woodson Terrace, a project of Maryland Heights-based developer Lodging Hospitality Management, is connected to the existing Hilton St. Louis Airport Hotel at 10330 Natural Bridge. They're near St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

Both hotels will be owned by Lodging Hospitality Management, which owns the property through an affiliated LLC. Fenton-based Midas Construction is the contractor on the new Hampton Inn, the construction company said in a news release.

The new Hampton Inn will be constructed of a concrete podium and a five-story wood frame structure, the contractor said.

Construction has been carefully planned so that it will not interrupt any operations at the Hilton next door, Midas said.
