ST. LOUIS — Sisters Amanda Helman and Susan Logsdon have found retail success with Golden Gems, their lifestyle brand that designs and sells accessories, apparel, stationery goods and home décor out of three brick-and-mortar shops in St. Louis.
But now they’re tackling a new challenge — a bar.
The sisters plan to open Hidden Gem, a cocktail bar, in mid-to-late October at 3118 Locust St., Helman said. She described the bar as “disco meets dive bar,” offering everything from cocktails to beer, and said that she hopes the bar will be an approachable and inclusive addition to Midtown.
Hidden Gem looks to be the latest addition to Midtown, which has seen a spike in development in recent years.
