ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Part of a former mall building that houses a leased Cabela’s store in St. Louis County is up for auction.

The section of the former St. Louis Mills mall occupied by outdoor retailer Cabela’s will go on the auction block next week, but the store will remain open.

The starting bid for the 2.97-acre space is set at $2.45 million for the Nov. 27-29 auction, according to an online Ten-X auction listing.

The space occupied by Cabela’s is owned by Namdar Realty of Great Neck, New York, according to county records. The buyer of distressed malls across the country purchased the Mills mall, then known as the St. Louis Outlet Mall, in 2016 for $4.4 million and then closed most of the mall in 2019 in anticipation of a redevelopment from the PowerPlex sports facility, which eventually fell through.
