EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. — An ice cream shop in the Metro East will be closing, with a plan to try to find a new future location.
The Edwardsville site of City Scoops Creamery, located at 1100 IL-157, will close at the end of the month, the store said on social media.
The decision was made “due to circumstances beyond our control,” the shop posted.
“This is not goodbye; we will see you later, as we are searching for a new location,” the creamery posted. “While this chapter is closing, the heart of our ice cream shop remains strong…”
The other two locations of the family-owned “microcreamery,” at 1018 Laurel St. in Highland and 300 Edwardsville Road in Troy, Illinois, will remain open, according to the post.
