CREVE COEUR, Mo. — The building that long housed St. Louis’ only full-service kosher deli has been put up for sale following the restaurant’s sudden closure earlier this month.
The building at 10405 Old Olive Street Road in Creve Coeur, previously occupied by Kohn’s Kosher Meat and Deli, is being marketed for $1.7 million, according to a real estate listing.
Following a lawsuit filed in federal court by a vendor that alleged the deli owed it nearly $150,000 in back payments, the deli suddenly closed the first week of July. Employees believed at the time that the closure was simply for the long Fourth of July weekend, the St. Louis Jewish Light reported. The deli has not reopened, despite attempts to find a buyer.
