ST. LOUIS — A new Mizzou-themed sports bar has plans to open at the former site of Llywelyn's Pub in Soulard.

Ray’s SportsHouse expects to open in early to mid-August at 1732 S. Ninth St. The new restaurant is owned by Corbin Ray, a 2021 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia.

“I’ve been working on bringing a Mizzou bar to St. Louis for two years now,” Ray said.

The 25-year-old Ray claims Ray’s SportsHouse will be the largest Mizzou bar in the St. Louis region and the largest sports bar in the Soulard neighborhood. It aims to be a gathering spot for Mizzou alumni and fans, with big crowds expected on game days. Ray said he also hopes the restaurant is a popular spot to watch other sports teams. Ray said the restaurant will show a variety of sports on nearly 50 televisions and that it wants to be welcoming to fans of all teams.
