ST. LOUIS — The newest restaurant at St. Louis Lambert International Airport, which also marks NASCAR’s return to restaurants, is now open.

NASCAR Drafthouse held its grand opening at the airport Tuesday, marking the auto racing league’s return to officially licensed restaurants. So far, just the single St. Louis location is planned. The restaurant has been under construction since this spring.

The 90-seat, full-service restaurant is located in Terminal 1, Concourse C, across from Gate C15. It will be open seven days a week, from 4:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The new eatery is an official venture of NASCAR through a licensing agreement with Bethesda, Maryland-based global restaurant group HMSHost, part of Avolta AG (SIX: AVOL), according to a news release. The airport concessionaire previously partnered with NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. on three locations of his Whiskey River restaurant chain in North Carolina and Florida.
