ST. LOUIS — Kaleb Harvey says as a teenager he enjoyed hanging out in places like the library, bookstores and friends’ basements. He knew that one day he wanted to create a space to provide that atmosphere for others.
“I didn’t know what that was going to look like. I didn’t know what type of business that was going to be, but at that point I decided that was the career path I wanted to do,” Harvey said.
Harvey on Friday will open Harvey’s Coffee and Cocktails, a new coffee and cocktail lounge at 2706 Olive St. in the city’s Midtown neighborhood. It will serve coffee and offer cocktails that are coffee- and beach-themed, said Harvey, who previously worked for Anheuser-Busch.

Harvey’s will serve an array of coffee drinks and its cocktail menu will specialize in espresso martinis, as well other coffee-infused cocktails. The menu will also have a beach theme, with mojitos and margaritas.
