Missouri Valley Conference inks media deal that brings new way to watch tournament

St. Louis-area fans of college basketball will have a new way to watch college basketball games this coming season.

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis-area fans of college basketball will have a new way to watch college basketball games – including Arch Madness playoffs – this coming season, without a subscription fee.

Missouri Valley Conference Inc., the St. Louis-based NCAA Division I athletic league, has signed a multiyear deal calling for Gray Media to produce and distribute MVC men’s and women’s basketball regular-season games, beginning with the 2024-25 academic year.

The deal also includes production and distribution of opening-round and quarterfinal contests for the State Farm MVC Men’s Basketball Tournament – known as Arch Madness – also beginning this academic year.

The "over-the-air" television station package will be distributed in 22 Gray Media markets in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Iowa and Tennessee – including a digital channel of KMOV-TV in St. Louis – and through third-party broadcast partners in markets outside of Gray's markets, according to a recent news release.
