ST. LOUIS — Mazaj Mediterranean will open on Saturday at the City Foundry STL Food Hall in Midtown.

Mazaj — which loosely translates from Arabic to "vibe," or what you like — is a new food concept from nephew-and-uncle duo Amjed Abdeljabbar and Mahmoud Abed Abualizz, who in 2020 opened Golden Chicken, a Mediterranean restaurant at 632 Jungermann Road in St. Peters.

“We just want to bring something new to the city,” Abdeljabbar said. “There are a few Palestinian restaurants in the area, but we want to bring even more authenticity and show St. Louisans the flavors of Palestine.”
