Pizzeria at $75 million Clayton high rise is now open

"This new location is very special to us for several reasons," Thirion said in a statement.

ST. LOUIS BUSINESS JOURNAL -- Peel Wood Fired Pizza, from co-owners Patrick Thirion and Brandon Case, has opened its first location in Missouri. The restaurant is located at 208 S. Meramec Ave., inside the new $75 million Two Twelve building in Clayton.

"This new location is very special to us for several reasons," Thirion said in a statement. "This is our first Missouri location along with being our biggest location and we couldn't have found a more ideal spot. We challenged ourselves to come up with some truly unique and flavorful entrees that complement this space, and we're excited for customers to try them."

Fenton-based Kadean Construction worked on the 8,800-square-foot space, on the first floor of the 26-tower, which includes 250 luxury apartments on 20 floors.

The restaurant, designed by Gray Design Group in Maplewood, has seating for 245 people and three wood-fired pizza ovens. In addition, the restaurant features patio seating, a private dining area, a semi-private multimedia room that can seat up to 80 people, and a fully stocked bar with 36 beer taps, including eight to 10 Peel Brewing Co. beers.
