SUNSET HILLS, Mo. — A former burger joint at a busy shopping center is going to be revamped into a sporting goods store and a new location of Shake Shack.

Deals have been signed to create new locations of New York-based burger chain Shake Shack and sporting-goods apparel store Rally House inside the former Fuddruckers restaurant at 10752 Sunset Chase Drive in Sunset Hills. The property is an outlot of the Home Depot-anchored Plaza at Sunset Hills shopping center near the intersection of Lindbergh Boulevard and Watson Road, owned by St. Louis-based commercial real estate firm Sansone Group.

The Shake Shack (NYSE: SHAK), founded by St. Louis native Danny Meyer, will take about 3,500 square feet of the available space, while Rally House will occupy about 5,600 square feet, said Sansone Group broker Grant Mechlin, who represented the owners on the leases. A third unnamed tenant is in talks to occupy another part of the building, he said.
