CHESTERFIELD, Mo. — An indoor basketball and volleyball complex, one of the region’s largest, is being named after an NBA player from St. Louis.
The Chesterfield Sports Complex at 150 N. Eatherton Road in the Chesterfield Valley was officially renamed Thursday as The Beal Center, after Bradley Beal, St. Louis native and Phoenix Suns player.
Beal’s Bradley Beal Elite high school-age basketball teams, the top-ranked Nike-sponsored basketball club in the Midwest, is a tenant that practices at the 97,000-square-foot facility, the complex organizers said in a news release.
The players on the team, some of the top in the nation, fly in on weekends to practice in Chesterfield, according to the release. Last month, the U16 Bradley Beal Elite Team that practices at the facility won one of the key North American tournaments for high school-age basketball players, the Nike Elite Basketball League’s Peach Jam in Atlanta.
