ST. LOUIS — Attendance for Tuesday's St. Louis Cardinals game at Busch Stadium represented a record low for a night game at the venue since it opened in 2006.
The Cardinals reported attendance of 31,972 fans for the game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Only three games have had lower reported attendance since the Cardinals began playing at the current Busch Stadium in 2006, according to a Business Journal analysis. That does not include games in 2020 and 2021 that had no fans or attendance limited at Busch Stadium because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Cardinals, who are in last place in the National League Central Division with a 6-6 record, had no immediate comment Wednesday.
