ST. LOUIS — Cuban restaurant Havana’s Cuisine will relocate from downtown St. Louis to the Central West End.
Havana’s will have its final day of service at its downtown location, 1131 Washington Ave., on Sept. 14. It expects to open its new restaurant in early October at 12 S. Euclid in the Central West End. The relocation will provide Havana’s with a larger kitchen, allowing the restaurant to expand its menu and hours, said owner Tamara Landeiro.
Havana’s opened its downtown restaurant in 2021. The business began as a stall at the Soulard Farmers Market and later had a food truck prior to the restaurant’s opening. Havana’s specializes in traditional Cuban food, with its Cuban sandwiches drawing positive reviews from food critics. Landeiro said she operates the restaurant with her daughter Tania, a student at Saint Louis University. The restaurant has four employees.
