CAHOKIA HEIGHTS, Ill. — Two people were found Tuesday afternoon in a crashed car in Cahokia Heights, and police are investigating their deaths as a murder-suicide.
Cahokia Heights Police Department Maj. Tony Tomlinson said the department received a call just after 1:30 p.m. about a single-car crash near Robert L. Price Road and Park Drive near Frank Holten State Recreation Area.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a car in a wooded area off the roadway with a man and woman inside. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene just before 4:30 p.m.
