Mazanek and his father carved the Blues’ note into their 40 acre field. Their farm is in Alma and they’re growing corn and soybeans this year. They said their farm is usually known for their apple and peach orchards.
The field in the photos is covered in rye grass, which is a cover crop that they use to strengthen and improve the soil before planting soybeans.
It only took them 45 minutes to make. Manazek said his tractor has a computer and GPS, which helped him create the Blues’ note.
