Chief of North County Police Co-op resigns to join Wesley Bell's transition team

ST. LOUIS COUNTY — The chief of the North County Police Cooperative is stepping down to take a new job.

A press release from Tim Swope said he was resigning as chief of the of the North County co-op to take a job with the transition team of Wesley Bell. Bell beat Bob McCulloch in the democratic primary for St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney and will run unopposed in the November election.

“I am grateful to the Vinita Park Mayor and Board of Aldermen for the opportunity to be on the ground floor in the establishment of the North County Police Cooperative," Swope said in the release. "I am also grateful to the dedicated men and women who worked diligently to make the Cooperative a success.”
