1 dead, 1 critically injured in crash on Highway 21 in Washington County

The crash happened just before 8 a.m. on Highway 21.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Mo. — A driver was killed and another was injured in a crash Thursday morning in Washington County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened at about 7:45 a.m. Thursday on Highway 21 South at Furnace Creek Road.

Troopers arrived to find one driver dead and another driver, a juvenile, critically injured. Both were alone in their vehicles at the time of the crash, according to MSHP.

The surviving driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

As of Thursday morning, MSHP had not shared the age or identity of the victims or what led up to the crash.
