ST. LOUIS — A school bus carrying Saint Louis School District students was involved in a hit-and-run crash Thursday in St. Louis, according to a spokeswoman with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said the accident happened Thursday at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Union Boulevard in St. Louis' Kingsway West neighborhood.
A bus operated by the Missouri Central School Bus company, which runs routes for Saint Louis Public Schools, was involved in an accident with a car.
Cordell Whitlock, spokesperson for the bus company, said 20 students from Compton Drew Middle School were on board when a driver struck the front right wheel of the bus and then took off.
St. Louis paramedics responded to check out one student who complained of a headache. No other injuries were reported.
