A worker at the Custom Steel Processing Plant in Venice, Ill. was killed on the job Friday morning.
According to police, 56-year-old Kevin Slaton was moving two spools of steel around 7:30 when he was trapped between them. He died on the scene.
Between 20 and 30 employees were sent home.
An autopsy determined his cause of death was craniocerebral blunt head trauma.
OSHA is handling an investigation.
