ST. LOUIS — A crash left one person dead and multiple others injured early Friday morning in north St. Louis.
Firefighters and police were on the scene of the multi-vehicle crash at about 12:45 a.m. Friday on West Florissant Avenue, between Thrush and Wren avenues, according to the St. Louis Fire Department.
A gray Mercury Milan was attempting a left turn when it was hit by an Infinity Q50, police said. The impact caused the Infinity to strike two other cars.
The Infinity was occupied by a 17-year-old boy, a 17-year-old girl, and possibly two other men who fled from the scene, police said.
The teenagers were transported to the hospital where the boy was pronounced dead and the girl was listed in stable physical condition. Police don't know who was driving the vehicle.
Police identified the teenager who died on Tuesday as 17-year-old Keandre Draper.
The Mercury was driven by a 21-year-old woman and 17-year-old girl. They were transported to the hospital and listed in stable physical condition.
Accident Reconstruction was called to investigate, police said.
