WARREN COUNTY, Mo. — One person died and another was injured when their UTV lost control after going too fast on a gravel road Monday night in Warren County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at about 11:40 p.m. Monday on Massas Creek Road, north of Trinity Ranch Lane, near Bridgeport.
The driver, a 34-year-old woman from Thruxton, was driving a Honda Talon too fast on the gravel road when she lost control of the vehicle. The UTV traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck several trees before overturning, according to MSHP.
A passenger on the UTV, 34-year-old Geoffrey Wiss of Jonesburg, was ejected in the crash, according to MSHP. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver suffered moderate injuries in the crash, and she was transported to an area hospital for treatment, according to the crash report.
