ST. LOUIS – Two St. Louis companies are teaming up to host dog-friendly events in The Grove.

Urban Chestnut Brewing Company and Purina will host a series of dog-friendly events at Urban Chestnut Grove Brewery.

Dog Day Fridays will take place on the first and third Friday of each month beginning in May and going through September. The event will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will feature beer, food, games, dog treats and adoptable pets courtesy of Petfinder.

A portion of the proceeds from each Dog Day Friday will benefit a local pet shelter or rescue, giving pet lovers and beer lovers alike a simple way to help local pets find forever homes, a press release said.

“Events are just better when you can bring your dog,” said David Wolfe co-owner and co-founder of Urban Chestnut Brewing Company. “Working with Purina to raise funds and awareness for shelter pets is a win for the people and pets of St. Louis, and we are proud to continue this partnership.”
